Click the time icon in the bottom right, on the "shelf". Then click the gear icon.
In the settings menu, select "Device". "Built-in Display" is the Chromebook screen. The "Dell" option is the docking station. In this menu you can select whether you want the docking station to be "extended" (a second monitor) or "mirrored" (copies what is on the Chromebook's screen).
The displays can be moved around as pictured above. Depending on how you orient the screens here, it will change where you need to move your mouse to go between the two screens. Generally, it is best to have this match how the Chromebook and docking station are physically positioned on your desk.

You’ll have a single USB-C cable coming from your monitor/docking station. Plug that into either side of the Chromebook. By default the screen will be ‘Extended’ so you now have (2) monitors.
You can set it to ‘mirror’ so they show the same screen if desired (see above 'Display & Dual Monitor Orientation').
Once plugged in and connected to the docking station, the Chromebook can be closed and used solely on the monitor.
The charger is for use at home or when not in your classroom, the DOCKING STATION will charge your chromebook.
