The quickest and easiest way to take a screenshot is by pressing the “Ctrl” and “Overview” keys at the same time (see fig. 1) this will immediately take a screenshot of everything that is on the screen and save it to the default folder. You can then press Ctrl+V to copy the picture, or you can edit it or delete altogether from the pop up window that will show up on the bottom left corner of the screen.

The other way to take screenshots on a Chromebook is by using Chrome OS’ own screenshot feature. All you have to do is click on the quick settings menu on the bottom left corner of the screen, then click on “Screen Capture” (fig. 2) which will take you to the screenshot menu. Here you have more options regarding what type of screenshot you want to take. You can take a shot of just one part of the screen, you can take a shot of just one window (in case you have multiple windows open on screen), you can even record a video.
