Zipping Files for Transfer (Windows)

Zipping Files for Transfer (Windows)

Zipping files will compress them as well as give you the ability to send a singular file, which is useful for emailing and sharing documents when necessary.

Traditional / Basic Zipping Instructions

Locate or place your files in a single location to make it easier to work with.
In this example we'll zip (5) files all located in the Downloads folder as if they were downloaded from a website or location like Google Drive.
Select the files you want to add to the zip (they will be highlighted) either by holding CTRL and left clicking each, left clicking the top / first one and holding SHIFT and left clicking the last one.

If your files should be encrypted and password protected, stop here and go to the alternative instructions below:  Zipping Files for Transfer (Windows)

You will now have a new file in the folder where your other files were that is encrypted with the password you set. You can now attach or send this .zip file via email or share it via Google Drive that contains all the files you added to it.
