Document Camera controls: transmitter side.
A: Basic camera controls.
B: Wifi signal light:When it is flashing, the document camera is establishing its wifi network.When it is solid, the document camera is ready to transmit to the receiver.
C: Battery level indicator light.
D: Power button: push and hold to turn on/off.
The Chromebook is representing the Smartboard in this picture.
A: Connect the receiver via the USB-C cable to the Smartboard.The receiver can be connected to the Smartboard Chromebox using either the USB-A to USB-C cable or the USB-C to USB-C cable (whichever port type is available).The receiver can also use HDMI to connect directly to the Smartboard (must switch video source), but the USB cable must also be used to power the receiver.
Once plugged in, the power light will come on.If the wifi light is flashing, it is still connecting to the document camera. (This can take 30 seconds to a minute depending on distance)If the wifi light is solid, the receiver is connected and ready to use.
: If the receiver is disconnected from the USB and loses power, the screen turns black in the app. When reconnected to the USB (and both wifi lights are solid) the app will not show an image until the app is closed and then opened again.
Once installed, click the apps button in the bottom left and then click the Hovercam app.
After clicking "OK" the below window will appear.
Selecting a place to save files
The app is asking where it can save any files (screenshots/video clips) captured with the document cam. Chromebooks must save to your Google Drive.
You can create a new folder in your Google Drive to save the files to.
