Using TestNav with a 1:1 Chromebook

TestNav is used by various testing solutions such as AimswebPlus and MCAS to provide a secure testing platform.

Launching TestNav

To launch TestNav on a 1:1 Chromebook DO NOT LOG ON. If you are already logged on to the chromebook please log out (click in the bottom right corner where the time is -> Sign Out).
When the chromebook is turned on and ready to be logged in, click on the Apps button (bottom left corner near “Shut Down”.


Click on TestNav
Select the application from the list (for lower grade level students it may automatically come up with Aimsweb). To use Aimsweb select AimsWebPlus, for MCAS select Massachusetts


Enter the credentials provided by your teacher to log in to begin your test. In most cases you would not click/use “Login with Google” or “Clever” for using TestNav, you will be given a randomly generated / unique username and password for each test.

Return to Normal Chromebook

To sign out of TestNav and return to normal chromebook use, press and hold the power button until the Chromebook turns off and restarts, it will restart as a normal Chromebook.
