There are two ways to enter grades on behalf of teachers due to absences, missed posting or other situations. Ideally you will use Gradebook Entry and post the grades, however if you need to adjust a grade or quickly get grades in to print out a report card or are outside grade posting windows, direct transcript entry can be utilized.
Ensure you are in the SCHOOL VIEW and navigate to the [Grades] top tab.
Click on the [Grade Input] sidetab.
Find the class needing grades from the list and click on its name. You should be brought to the [Input Grid] sub side-tab by default, if you aren't click in to it:

At the top of the gradebook ensure you are looking at the correct grade columns and term for your grade entry:

Enter grades in the grid, just as a teacher would.
You can use the same hotkeys and tools as teachers such as Ctrl + D to fill down a grade in an entire column and Ctrl + L to look up acceptable values for standards.
When you are done with the grades ensure you go to options → post grades as this posts their values to the student's transcript so they'll be saved and available for the report card.

Transcript Entry
If you are outside a grade posting window or need a quick grade change/entry to print out a report card you can manually update the grades on a student's transcript. These do go backwards meaning if you enter a value on the transcript, a teacher WILL NOT see it in their gradebook, including when doing averages and final grades in a different term.
Ensure you are in the school view, navigate to the [Student] top tab.
Search or find the student and click into their details.
Click into the [Transcript] side tab.

If you do not see any classes (T1 or a brand new student) a grade post or pre-population of transcript records is needed first.
Click into the class that you want to modify or add a grade for.
Scroll down to Grades and Comments and expect the appropriate term to reveal the grade locations.

Enter the grade (use the lookup magnifying glass if you aren't sure of the options) and click SAVE at the bottom.
